Yoga is a philosophy of life, with roots in the sanskrit word “yuj”, meaning “to yoke”, or “join”, to bring together, in union. It is a lifelong practice that enables us to find equanimity, aiming toward self-realization, dissolution of the ego, and a more connected experience of existence. Many of us today understand yoga with a focus on Asana, or the physical postures, which can serve as a doorway through which we can find our way back to our true selves - uniting our individual consciousness with the divine consciousness.
AYURVEDA
Ayurveda, or “the science of life”, is an ancient system of medicine, originating in India thousands of years ago. In our modern society, this system helps to focus on balance and harmony in our minds and bodies, preventing disease, and living a healthy, joyful life.
